The Group is among the local pioneers engaged in the cultivation of oil palm in the 1960s which was then largely cultivated in West Africa.
Oil Palm is the highest yielding oil seed in the world and it is a very unique crop that gives two distinctly different types of oils. With concerted research and development coupled with promotions, palm oil has become widely accepted internationally as an edible oil and a feedstock for oleochemicals.
Malaysia aggressively planted this golden crop an din the early 1970’s, the country emerged as the leading producer of palm oil in the world. |
The Group focused on cultivating the oil palm and today has more than 50,000 hectares of oil palm plantation in Peninsular Malaysia and Indonesia.
The plantations are managed by a team of experienced personnel. Constant research and development is also being carried out to further improve the yield and quality of fresh fruit bunches. |
